Using gZip Compession
«
on:

If I have the gZip compression option selected, should I change the filename from 'sitemap.xml' to 'sitemap.xml.gz' for the fields 'Save sitemap to' and 'Your Sitemap URL'?
Or will it automatically use file 'sitemap.xml.gz' if I have gzip compression selected?

Hi,
you should leave your filename setting as is (sitemap.xml) - ".gz" will be added by the script automatically when saving the file.
It is mentioned near to gzip compression option on the configuration page:
Quote
(".gz" will be added to filename)
