I am new to this and a confused about this.  I got these comments in the schema validation box.

   (Real name: http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/download/www.thekeeneredge.com/sitemap.xml
    Length: 57422 bytes
    Server: Apache/1.3.37 (Unix) mod_auth_passthrough/1.8 mod_log_bytes/1.2 mod_bwlimited/1.4 PHP/4.4.3 FrontPage/5.0.2.2635.SR1.2 mod_ssl/2.8.28 OpenSSL/0.9.7a)
·   docElt: {http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9}urlset
·   schemaLocs: [external links are visible to admins only] -> [external links are visible to admins only]
·   The schema(s) used for schema-validation had no errors
·   The target was not assessed
AND
Low-level XML well-formedness and/or validity processing output
Error: can't retrieve "[external links are visible to admins only]": 404 Not Found
Error: can't retrieve "[external links are visible to admins only]": 404 Not Found
AND
Schema resources involved
Attempt to load a schema document from [external links are visible to admins only] (source: schemaLoc) for [external links are visible to admins only], failed:
couldn't open
Attempt to load a schema document from [external links are visible to admins only] (source: docElt) for [external links are visible to admins only], failed:
couldn't open

Is the sitemap OK to upload or are these issues that need to be addressed first?  If so, what and how?

As I said before, I am new to this.  I don't know what SHOULD appear in the schema validation box if everything is OK with the sitemap file.  I ran the free generator again and got these results in the schema validation box.  It seems to me there may still be problems.  Are there problems?  If so, are they problems with my site or the schema validation process?  I do not know how to proceed.

I am having issues with this as well.  When I try to validate it I get the following.  You can see the 404 errors below.

docElt: {http://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9}urlset

The schema(s) used for schema-validation had no errors

So all is fine to have that error then I assume?  Seems to work with Google as it is.  Why the error though?

Yes, as long as Google accepts it, it should be fine. This is related to the changes in sitemaps.org protocol.
