On the configuration page I entered the following in the Exclude URLs box
Quote
[external links are visible to admins only]
however looking through the result I still have urls with 'tell_a_friend' listed.

The urls tend to look something like;
Quote
[external links are visible to admins only]
The text after .php is variable.

So where am I going wrong please?

Hi,

The script isn't seeing the first part of the url when crawling so isn't excluding those pages.

Just add tell_a_friend and any url that includes that string will be excluded.

I've only done one sitemap since adding 'tell_a_friend', however looking through the map, it has still listed urls with 'tell_a_friend'.

I'll try again to see if it does it again.

Hi,

I am new to xml-sitemaps and have a follow-up on this: How do you separate multiple strings to exclude? Is it with comma, pipe, new row for each, or something else?

You should enter them one per line.

I now realize it was all there explained in the config area, it was just that I mixed the "do not parse" functionality with the "exclude" functionality, hence it didn't work for me.

Thank you.
