I read the past posts but wanted to make it clear on what I should be doing. I am creating the following:

sitemap.xml
sitemap1.xml
sitemap2.xml
sitemap3.xml

should I also be creating a ror.xml file? I know in one of the post it said don't bother but I would like Yahoo and the other search engines to read the sitemap.

Also, once those files are created, and I turn on compression the program should take care of everything?

Please advice

Hello,

yes, you should create ror.xml as well and set permissions for xml files to 0666, then generate the sitemap.
If you enable compression in the options, the file names would be "sitemap.xml.gz", "ror.xml.gz" etc.
