Google Sitemap Validation fails

I created a very simple sitemap

[external links are visible to admins only]

But Google will not accept the file. I can't figure out the reason why.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

PS: Submitting the sitemap from your online tool works. But unfortunately not the standalone version.

seems like Google has a problem with the header

I changed the header to

<urlset xmlns="[external links are visible to admins only]">

and now it works.

it should work with default sitemap header, can you make a copy of "old" sitemap on your host so that I can check it?
