Adding the site map to the public_html folder

Hi i know this is a noob question but what does the guide mean when it says this:

"put it into the "public_html/" folder of your site"

How do i do that? thanks.

That should be done in FTP software. There is an Installation  HOW-TO here: http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/howto-install.html
