I'm sure this has been asked before, but here goes.
If my sitemap is currently located here:
[external links are visible to admins only]
Will crawling or Google be affect if it resides in the root directory, here:
[external links are visible to admins only]
Any benefit to having it in the root?

Hello,
html sitemap can be located in any folder. Relocating it into domain root may be looking better for human visitors though.
