Please help with following error message:

upon going to mysite.com/generator I get the following:

An error occured

Sitemap file is not writable: D:\work\Internet\SITES\slance\pending\xml-sitemaps\enc/sitemap.xml.gz


Any idea on how I solve this?

Hi,

you should enter correct values for your instance at the Configuration page ("Save sitemap to:" field).

I'm not sure what that should be?

can I save them to the "sitemaps" folder I made in my desktop? 

and then what would be the file path?

I tried what you recommended and I created a folder on my desktop called "Sitemaps" that the files could go in but I am still getting an error message:

An error occured

Sitemap file is not writable: C:\Documents and Settings\Causa Him\Desktop\Sitemaps

Would you be able to tell what I am doing wrong here?

Hi,

no-no, this file is NOT residing at your computer, but on the server!
Could you please download the generator archive again (using the same link) and install it over the existing one? (there is an 'auto-configuration' code that will fill the required fields automatically)
