%20 in XML = errors?
« on: July 08, 2008, 08:58:58 PM »
Hi,

I generated a sitemap and then tried to get it validated  ([ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] )

But when I tried to validate it a couple of parsers said having a %20 in the URL was an error.

Should I go thru and remove them and substitute spaces?

Thanks

Lewis

You should use official validation service for that: http://www.w3.org/2001/03/webdata/xsv (or https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/validate-xml-sitemap.html).
Also, just submit sitemap to Google to see that it's processed without errors.
