Proper location if text and htnl stiemaps
« on: April 08, 2006, 06:54:07 PM »
Hello,

The way I understand it, the sitemap.xml needs to be in my root directory, so I moved it from /generator/data to the same level that my index file is at.

However, my question pertains to the text and html sitemaps that are generated by the standalone Ultimate Sitemap Generator.  SHould I leave them in /generator/data or should I move them to my root also?

Thanks

Hello,

there is no such a requirement for text and html sitemaps, so you can keep them in the data/ folder.

but must exist links to html sitemap, yes? better from all pages or few? Internal links can be recognize as reciprocally links or this rule concern only links from different domains?
