General Question

The software I am using for my site doesn't support XML so I submitted a .txt file for my sitemap.  The sitemap has all of my pages, but when I submitted it to Google, I had something like 175 pages indexed prior to my sitemap being created (this is the first one I've submitted and my sitemap had 266 pages) and afterwards it now has only 102 indexed. In the "Indexed URLs in Sitemap" list on my analytics page, it is currently stating "No data available. Check back soon."

Does anyone know if that 102 number will go up?  Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me for it to be less than what I originally had just because I submitted a sitemap.

Any thoughts?

Are you sure?  It looks like it worked fine.

Sitemap type: Web
Format: List
Submitted: Sep 26, 2008
Last downloaded by Google: 4 hours ago
Status: OK
Total URLs in Sitemap: 266
Indexed URLs in Sitemap: Help   No data available. Please check back soon.

Am I reading this incorrectly?  Is there a problem?
