Starting problem
« on: February 13, 2009, 06:48:40 PM »
I have it installed onto windows 3 server, and host has set full permissions for me.

I get the config screen and save the settings.

Then I go to crawler tab and check the box to run in background.

Then I click the "Run" button. and the screen says

Please wait - site generation in progress (or something similar).

Then some other text is displayed for a split second (far too quick for me to read it)
and the config page is displayed again.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello,

are the settings displayed correctly when you get back to config page? (i.e. are they saved correctly)

Try to enter your server's IP address in generator configuration.

Hello,

Yes, any changes I make in the config page are saved correctly.

I tried it with the IP address (shared server), but get the same result. Just a quick flash of something and then revert to the config page.

Hello?

Can anyone help me with this please. I have an empty sitemap file that Google keeps rejecting.

Hello,

I sent the details by IM but got no response.

I have noticed that when the page jumps back to the config page, it does so with the following url address:

[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]

This does not effect the display on the screen which is the standard config page.

Is this a clue to the problem?

Hello,

Sorry, my mistake  :-[. I did not recieve any notification of it, and looked for it in the wrong place.

Thanks for the reply.  I have passed it on to the host company.
