trouble with installation
« on: June 06, 2009, 02:52:16 AM »
Hi,

I am having trouble creating a sitemap. I have tried using the site's ip address as well as 127.0.0.1, and I have tried both the [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] and http:// addresses, but my result is always either an error retrieving the url or a sitemap with only 1 file which is 0.00Mb.

Is there a way to use a relative path in the starting url field? The server is IIS running PHP version 4.4.8.

Thanks

please try our search engine crawler simulator tool to makle sure that your site is "visible" for crawlers: https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/se-bot-simulator.html
If you need assistance, please PM me your generator URL/login.

Thanks, I received your message. What exactly do I need to tell the hosting company? Does this product not work when the server is behind a firewall? Can it not be modified to use a relative path? What exactly do you mean when you say that port 80 is not allowing local connections?

I mean that your server disallows connections via port 80 that are opened form the server itself (i.e. the script running on your host).
