Configuration not being saved
« on: July 19, 2010, 12:20:18 AM »
I have an older version of XML-Sitemaps that now has some problems.  So I have installed V4 in a new folder.

When I start generator, and make some changes to the default config (such as adding a login and password) it does not save any of my configuration .  So, I can not logout, nor can I run a crawl.  When I ask it to run a crawl, it bounces me back to the index.php page.

Although I do see  the file
/data/generator.conf
being created, it does NOT hold any of my specific configuration requests.

I am on Linux, and I have verified the attributes
/generator/data/  777

Any ideas?

Hello,

please try to remove generator.conf file and re-define configuration again.

I deleted the  data/generator.conf  and tried again.     Same results.    New data/generator.conf file created, but it does NOT contain the changes I made.

Hello,

I have the same problem with the XML Sitemap Generator 4.0. I tried to chmod 666 the generator.conf but it isn't allowed.
If it is possible to post the solution, it will be much appericated!

Thanks!

Hello,

please try to create a file named .htaccess in generator folder with one line:
RewriteEngine off
