Installation problems with Standalone sitemap generator
« on: October 26, 2010, 12:04:47 PM »
Hi there,

I've installed the generator as per the instructions, however when I visit [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] I get The website declined to show this webpage 403 error

When I go to [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] I get...

Warning: fopen(C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\mysite\http\generator/data/generator.conf) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Stif\http\generator\pages\class.utils.inc.php(2) : eval()'d code on line 118

Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\mysite\http\generator\pages\class.utils.inc.php(2) : eval()'d code on line 119

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\mysite\http\generator\pages\class.utils.inc.php(2) : eval()'d code on line 120

And below that I get the normal sitemap config screen as you would expect

I have previously installed this on our server for a client which worked fine, however I am scratching my head with these errors

Many thanks if you can shed any light
Clare

PS:  Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place, I couldn't seem to start a topic in the standalone forum section

Hiya,

Many thanks for your message, I actually managed to rectify things myself by resetting the permissions on my data folder (it seems Filezilla did not chmod them successfully)

I ran the sitemap but need to tweak a few settings, can I just run it again or do I need to clear down sitemap.xml and ror.xml so they are blank files again?

Also can I ask about the canonical section in the advanced config?... I want to only list the canonical URL of my page (ie: so that each page is listed once, not twice or more) so I checked this on my previous run but still got 2 URLs per page so do I need to un-check this box?

thanks so much for your help
Clare
