How to exclude/remove duplicate URLs from sitemap?
« on: February 07, 2013, 05:38:02 PM »
After creating my first sitemap I can see that it included quite a few duplicate URLs, is there a way to somehow exclude these or even manually remove them?

I know I can disable the cron and manually edit the files, but that would remove the ability to have new pages added automatically.

I have a blog that shows duplicate content on URLs for categories, tags and archives.

Hello,

you might want to exclude certain URLs from sitemap if they are considered as duplicates.

Yes, but how?  :)

If I manually remove the entries they will be regenerated every time my cron runs. How can I prevent this?

You should specify them in "Exclude URLs" setting in sitemap generator configuration.

Do I add them into the same 'exclude urls' box that can be populated with exclusion presets?
