Live.com is now pinged, meta descriptions are extracted and used for HTML and ROR sitemaps, and other improvements in v2.8.
More search engines are pinged with sitemap URL now, the list now includes: Google, Yahoo!, Ask.com, Moreover.com.
A new sitemap protocol v0.9 is now supported by both Free Online Generator and Standalone Sitemap Generator v2.5.1+.
A new online tool has been implemented at xml-sitemaps.com: HTTP Headers Viewer. This is an addition to already popular XML Sitemap Validator and Search Engine Bot Simulator.
Our Sitemap Generator now supports sitemaps in ROR format (both Free Online version and Unlimited Standalone generator). ROR Sitemaps (ROR - Resources of a Resource) is an independent XML format for describing any object of your content in a generic fashion, so any search engine can better understand that content.
