Hello,

every time sitemap is created, your sitemap URL (http://www.domain.com/sitemap.xml) is sent to search engines. Although it should not fail, it's a good idea to submit your sitemap manually to Google and Yahoo:
http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/siteoverview
https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/mysites
