How do I config XML to work with xampp on my local machine

Hi

I am running vista and want to configure XML to work on my pc
I have xampp on my c:\xampp\htdocs\  and the setup as follows

starting url
[external links are visible to admins only]

save sitemap
c:\xampp\htdocs\generator\sitemap.xml

your sitemap url
c:\xampp\htdocs\sitemap.xml

HTML site map
C:\xampp\htdocs\generator\data\sitemap.html

when I run the program it like hangs for 15 sec then goes back to the configuration screen
Anyone any ideas how I can configure this to work

does it work if you specify some other site as Starting URL?

Not sure what you mean. I am working on my pc so I stated the index.html that was in the root directory, along with the sitemap.xml etc.

Some people here have got it to work ok. 

Have you any ideas what I can do

Try to put "http://www.xml-sitemaps.com" as Starting URL in sitemap generator configuration (instead of your website URL) and see if it creates sitemap for it.

Your site address worked fine, so what should I put in as a start url
I have tried as a starting url

C:\xampp\htdocs\index.html
[external links are visible to admins only]

As I said the wesite starts on my local machine
c:\xampp\htdocs   that is the root   and
c:\xampp\htdocs\store   is the x-cart store

You should enter http://localhost/ as starting URL in this case.
