Best Settings for SMF website?

What are the best settings for a SMF/TP website?     I would like for it to not display multiple times the same topic..   Maybe just list the whole topic/post in the same list.   Also for it to not index any profiles or anything like that? 

I did a search to find the best settings for SMF but couldn't find anything..  Thanks for the help in advance.   This will help me out alot..

Do not parse URLs:

Exclude URLs:

Sorry to rehash an old topic.   But are these settings still the best for SMF.   I noticed in google that there are alot of my pages that are wap, print pages and what not like that.

yes, those settings are still recommended. Note that although they are excluded from sitemap, Google is still able to find them by visiting your pages.
I'd recommend to also add them in robots.txt file, like:
User-agent: *
Disallow: /*sort,
Disallow: /*action=
Disallow: /*.new.html
Disallow: /*.msg
Disallow: /*.prev_next

Would these settings be the same for a WOWBB type forum? It's actually the newer WOWUltra which is built around WOWBB.
