Blank in Sitemap path causes Havoc
«
on:
November 15, 2025, 03:40:42 PM »
Even if I use short paths.. the tool keeps on going back to the long path.. getting rid of the embeded blanks.
How can I set the path properly?
Sitemap file is not writable: C:\ProgramFiles\ApacheSoftwareFoundation\Apache24\midas-new\gen\data\sitemap.html
Thanks

Thank you for getting back to me.
The HTML sitemap option was not selected... so the path was hidden.
I selected it and then I saw it was set to what the error message stated.
C:\ProgramFiles\ApacheSoftwareFoundation\Apache24\midas-new\gen\data\sitemap.html
So I then set it to:
C:\PROGRA~1\APACHE~1\Apache24\midas-new\gen\data\sitemap.html
The error did go away. The next issue then became on the View SiteMap page
The HTML sitemap button then links to:
[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] FORBIDDEN
Is this URL correct?
The XML sitemap button links to:
[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] WORKS
[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] FILE is There.. but yields Internal Server Error. (My problem)

Hello,
since the path to html sitemap doesn't match the internally detected path, the link is displayed incorrectly. You can ignore it in this case and use the link /gen/data/sitemap.html manually.
