Sitemap is just not generating...

So, I left my sitemap generating for the last two days, as I get "contining" crawling session every hour or so. (Guess it times out or something) Then today, it shows 0 URL's, when this morning it was continueing with 40,000 URL's. Is there any way you guys can just check into why this isn't working for me, I've been trying to get it working to no avail all week.
