Host will not change permissions

Hi,

I just purchased this software and I can't change the permissions of the files. When I ask the hosting company this is the response I received...

"You are on a Windows server and due to the nature of Windows servers you can not change the permissions of files via CHMOD. If you like, you can swap to a Linux server, this is free and no files are deleted. You can now make this change from this control panel."

I don't want to change servers so is there any other way around this? If not can I get a refund?

Hello,

although most Windows server do not support CHMOD, it's still possible to allow write access in Hosting Control Panel or via Remote Desktop Connection (if you have acces to it).

I have access to the control panel but no options to do this change.

What do you mean through 'remote desktop connection'? I use Dreamweaver if this is what you mean? This is when I got the error.

Remote Desktop Connection means providing graphical access directly to the server computer desktop.
