Fasthosts windows server - not able to change permissions

Hi,

Just bought the unlimied version and installed and then discovered the site is on a windows server.
Its not possible to change the permissions via the Fasthosts control panel and their technical support just say I have to transfer to a Linux server.  This is an asp corporate site so that is not an option.

Is there a way around this or have I just wasted $19.99 of my employers money?

in some cases windows servers allow write access without changing permissions, please try to generate the sitemap.

My question is exactly the same as Steve's. I have tried running the generator without changing permissions and it doesn't work. Do you have any suggestions?

Please check with your hosting support how you can allow write access on your server, in most cases this should be possible to do.
