Over 240,000 pages-Need To Create Small Multiple Sitemaps For Google

Hello Admins:

How are you doing today?

I really need your help before I began generating my sitemap:

1. I have a HUGE website with almost 240,000 pages.  This is my first time ever creating a sitemap however I know that Google will not accept a single sitemap this large.  How do I create small multiple xml sitemaps (around 30,00 urls)?

2. If it is possible to generate small multiple xml sitemaps, will the ror automatically follow the same pattern and generate 30,000 urls each or do I have to change my config settings?

Hello,

standalone sitemap generator automatically splits large xml sitemap on multiple files.
ROR sitemap is created with a single file though since it doesn't have this limitation.
