1 site map are better or multiple

Hey, i am running a site and my pages are 3000+ now wht i wanted to ask was that shud i keep one sitemap file for it or multiple will do just gud? i mean does it affects that if im using more then one sitemap file?

it's allowed to have up to 50,000 URLs in a single sitemap file, so you are good to go with 1 file.
