Sitemap Generator stalls

I have installed Sitemap Generator yesterday. After a day of fine tuning the programs is working fine.

I had to set Maximum depth level to 2, and I get 4245 URLs indexed in about 4 minutes.

If I set Maximum depth level to 3, the program slows down. I can indes 100-200 URLs; if I set a higher limit (500 URLs or more), the program stalls and I get no sitemap.

Any idea?

Hello,

it looks like your server configuration doesn't allow to run the script long enough to create full sitemap. Please try to increase memory_limit and max_execution_time settings in php configuration at your host (php.ini file) or contact hosting support regarding this.

I had already set max_execution_time to 60, before posting the topic. No luck.

My server has 2 GB RAM; what should be the best for memory_limit? How can I check what is the memory used by the server?

My memory_limit in php.ini is set to -1.

Is there anything I can do?

Hello,

instead of "-1" try setting it to a specific value, like "256M".

Changed to 256M, but no luck, again. If I set link depth to 2 everything is OK.
