Hello-

I just purchased the sitemap generator this evening and am having a terrible time.  It's taken me hours to set up everything - and now when I go to do a Crawl - I'm getting several errors.

I downloaded Filezilla so that I could follow the directions for getting started online.  Everything was ok - until I got to setting the permissions.  I noticed after I would enter the  for example 666 and click ok - the box in the upper left corner would show that Ihost doesn't understand the command.

I'm so confused and really want to get a site map up asap.  Please help.  Thank you!

Here is what it says in the upper right corner of Filezilla when I try to set the permissions:

Status:   Set permissions of '/httpdocs/generator/config.inc.php' to '666'
Command:   SITE CHMOD 666 config.inc.php
Response:   500 'SITE CHMOD 666 config.inc.php': command not understood

I'm not sure what to do?

Hello,

please try to open sitemap generator in browser and generate sitemap - may be your host's default permissions allow write access.

Hi,
What browser are you referring to?

Hello,

the browser you are using to visit websites (like IE or FF) - you should open the folder where you installed sitemap generator in it (for instance [ External links are visible to logged in users only ]).

Thank you -

I opened the browser and tried to generate a site map, but nothing happens.  After I click Crawling - it starts - but then the site map isn't generated.

I do have 3 errors at the top of the page:

Warning: fopen(C:\Inetpub\vhosts\occanseydesigns.ihostvm.com\httpdocs\generator/config.inc.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\occanseydesigns.ihostvm.com\httpdocs\generator\pages\page-configinit.inc.php(2) : eval()'d code on line 17

Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\occanseydesigns.ihostvm.com\httpdocs\generator\pages\page-configinit.inc.php(2) : eval()'d code on line 18

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in C:\Inetpub\vhosts\occanseydesigns.ihostvm.com\httpdocs\generator\pages\page-configinit.inc.php(2) : eval()'d code on line 19

It looks like permissions must be setup though. Since it doesn't work in FTP for you, please check your hosting control panel for the option to setup file/folders permissions.
