Sitemap problems- all have same priority

A complete novice, I am trying to creep up the google ranking by hopefully adding a sitemap created by xml-sitemap generator. I submitted to Google but they have issued a warning-

All the URLs in your Sitemap have the same priority.All the URLs in your Sitemap are set to the same priority . Priority indicates the importance of a particular URL relative to other URLs on your site, and doesn't impact your site's performance in search results. If all URLs have the same priority, Google can't tell which are more important.

I also have short meta description warnings which I need to address. Do I have to re-submit the site map everytime I make changes?

Please try to resubmit sitemap - it's clear that priorities are not the same in your example.

Hello, I have just generated another sitemap with your site and have  resubmitted this as sitemap7.xml and am awaiting the response of google.
