Downloaded now what?

Hello,
Through the program, I created and downloaded the site map to my computer. Now I'm confused about how to put it on my site. I'm working with Adobe Go Live. Should I make a folder in the root folder named public_html ? Or should I make a new page and insert the source code in it and put that page into a folder called public_html ?
If there was a little more explaination, I would have gotten it.

you should upload sitemap.xml file to your domain root, no need to create subfolders.
