Lost xml generator password

I am wondering if there is a way to retrieve my password since I lost it, or will I have to reinstall the whole thing?

Hello,

you can find your password by opening generator/config.inc.php file via FTP:
'xs_login' => 'xx',
'xs_password' => 'xx',

Login can be reset in generator/data/generator.conf file now:
   <option name="xs_login"></option>
   <option name="xs_password"></option>

I can't get the generator.conf to transfer or edit  ???

can I just password protect the directory?  Will cron still run if it is a password protected folder?
