Can Not Get the Sitemap Generator to open

After following the installation guide to a tee, I then tried to execute by typing in my website/generator and got the following message. Can you help?

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

My server administrator was able to solve the problem. According to them I did not need to change the permission on the config file. They set it back to 644. They also changed the data file to 755. It now works fine.
