Help With my sitemap

hello guys i uploaded my sitemap.hml onto my website  but for some strange reeason it is not showing up correctly [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]   it is showing up as text and google is showing me a error, can someone tell me  a solution,  will be greatfull thanks dale
