command not understood Message

My web site is aspx basis and recommended filezilla FTP agent does not allow me to change the value to 666 for a file 777 for a folder even though I've set the files (sitemap.xml and ror.xml) and folder (generator) full writable and readable from plesk CP. I do not want to go further as this response is not the a normal response from the server. Do I need to run this generator file only in PHP modules? Any chance to use in ASP platform websites?

Command:   SITE CHMOD 666 sitemap.xml
Response:   500 'SITE CHMOD 666 sitemap.xml': command not understood

Hello,

if you have set write permissions via CP, that is sufficient (looks like your host only allows to do that in CP and not via FTP).
