Generator taking an obscene amount of time...

Hello, the generator has been running for over 4 hours...   The last time it ran successfully was on December 24th 2009, and it took only 37 minutes to complete.  Any idea what might be causing my trouble?

did you change configuration? Do you have more pages on your site now?

No configuration changes - except I disabled "Use temporary files" to try to speed up the crawling...
when I click on the "Crawling" tab now, this is what it says;
