Quite a lot of pages are not being indexed

Hi there,

We have a pretty extensive site and about 492 pages are being indexed, but many hundreds of others are not being cataloged at all. Entire directories are being overlooked. Is there something either our configuration, or the way the site is set up that is caused these to be dropped?
