Doesn't create xml file?

Hi there,

Excellent software and very efficient, but I'm confused as to why my sitemap.xml is not being created? It creates the yahoo and html files (the only software I've found to manage my site) but not the .xml file.

I have created the sitemap.xml and made it 0666 and the path to it is okay also.

Secondly as it's a large site (more than 50,000 urls) does the software create a sitemap-index.xml?

Hello Dave,

in case of large sites, sitemap generator automatically splits sitemap on multiple files per 50,000 URLs and creates sitemap index file:
sitemap.xml - index file
sitemap1.xml - sitemap #1
sitemap2.xml - sitemap #2
etc.

you should manually create all files (sitemap1(2,3).xml and set permissions for al of them).
