HAVING PROBLEM WITH SUBMITTING MY SITEMAP

Hello forumites, i have actually been tackling this problem without success so i decided to ask you folks.
The problem is submitting my sitemap to google. I have created the site map with the help of [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] with various download options (Download un-compressed XML Sitemap, Download compressed XML Sitemap, Download ROR Sitemap,Download HTML Sitemap,Download Sitemap in Text Format) and i have always chosen TXT FORMAT. Every time i download it, it brings out links to every page on my website. Then i proceed to google webmasters to submit the links one after the other.....i get something like this from google: [ External links are visible to forum administrators only ] a box telling me to put in something before submitting the site. This is where i get it wrong....i place the last codes i gt from the downloaded txt and it still does not work. Where am i getting it wrong?
