Purchased this software this morning..

Installed it following the guide, but when I try and save the configuration it does not save. When I click crawl it just sends me back to the homepage..

Any thoughts?

Same issue here. Permissions seem to be set properly but I can not save the config page or run the crawl via the admin panel.

Sounds like the same issue..

Want to get this sorted ASAP.

Hello,

please try this:
1. make sure that generator/data/ folder has 0777 permissions set.
2. if above doesn't resolve the issue, try to create a file named ".htaccess" in generator/ folder with one line:
RewriteEngine off

Hello, had the same problem and created an .htaccess file and added into generator folder. This caused a 404 why I tried to run generator on my site!

I've found other forum messages which seem to imply that port 80 is needed for the program to run so I'm awaiting a reply from my provider.

Any help much appreciated.

Admin: My permissions are set correctly and adding that line to htaccess did not help.

Andy: Port 80 is the standard web port, I'm sure this is already open and has nothing to do with the problem.

Received reply from Provider - port 80 was already set. So, I'm back to square one.

This is the exact error I get:

There was an error while retrieving the URL specified: http://myurl/
Error message: Error opening socket to myurl
HTTP headers follow:

HTTP output:

Any help much appreciated.

But no help for the rest of us  ??? This is obviously a problem happening to lots of people, how do we fix it?

joshmountain

I don't really feel comfortable giving out that info, was there a fix that worked for the others in this thread?

Has anyone managed to crack this yet?
