Splitting xml sitemap file

Hi,

I would like to ask you how to split the xml sitemap file which is larger then 10MB or contains more than 50 000 rows to others files. I have already tried to set maximum memory usage to 10 as 10MB but I cannot see anything in the crawling. And when I set Number of links per page in HTML sitemap: to 1000 nothing happens. I have still one xml sitemap file with huge amount of links.

sitemap generator  has a special setting for the number of URLs per xml file, you can lower it.
