File writing permission issues

The standalone sitemap generator is unable to write any kind of sitemap as it reports that the sitemap.xml file is unwritable (the folder location is CHMODed to 777, as is the file in question.)

Attempts at generating a sitemap results in it not writing anything at all.

you should set permissions for sitemap.xml file in domain root to 0666.
