cron job with security

If I have secured the sitemap interface with username and password, does the cron job need to be set up differently?  The script provided in the interface for cron  job does not appear to be running, so I'm thinking the username and password need to be specified somewhere in the script?

you should use "runcrawl.php" file for the cron job command line, which creates sitemap with no need for username/password (and can be started as cron task only)
