Sitemap Unlimited Exclude URL not working...

I have tried multiple methods of excluding the blog directory on our site but nothing seems to work.  I've tried absolute pathing and relative pathing and each time the generator crawls that directory.  I'm using ver 4 since ver 5 didn't work for me.  Any ideas?

If you have blog in [ External links are visible to logged in users only ], you should add this in Exclude URLs:
blog/

Hmmmm, doesn't seem to be working.  I did try this suggestion initially, as well as the absolute path, and the relative path.
