Sitemap not updating

Hi

Downloaded the trial version of https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/standalone-google-sitemap-generator.html today. Installed and configured fine. However, I think I have a problem. I have set up a cron job/scheduled task for my site to be crawled and sitemap regenerated (as per tutorial in admin panel) but nothing seems to happen.
As a test I set it to run every few minutes and updated a page and created a new page, neither of which are showing in the sitemap. The lastmod didn't update for the edited page and the new page hasn't even been added.

What am I doing wrong?

please conifugre the cron task to send you an email every time it runs, in this way you will receive an error message with details.

This was the last message received, I have no idea if this is an error or not. All I know is that the system wasn't updating the lastmod input of pages that I edited:-
