Can't change/save settings?

Been using this for years now on multiple sites... just recently wanted to change some settings and realized that they do not save. Everything else works fine such as crawling, cronjob, etc, but I need to change some settings.

All installs are the latest version and permissions are correct.  Please advise.

well I deleted the gen dir and reuploaded from scratch and now it works... weird...

Just want to share my experience! Cause 2 days was resolving this problem.

Cant make map in PHP like FastCGI (support of hosting say because need to much RAM). But in this mode I can change settings.

In mode PHP like Apache map is working, but I cant change settings!!!

So need to change everytime settings in hosting's panel and than everything is ok!

ADD in 15 minutes:
No maybe to change settings you need just to change permission to 777 in /generator/data/generator.conf
