Question about linking to sitemaps
« on: November 26, 2011, 12:25:13 AM »
Will it help to link all the versions of the generated sitemaps (XML, Text, ROR, HTML) to the homepage of our website? I was considering doing this (such as in our footer) to make it easier for search engines to find these, if this is suggested.

Also, are there detailed instructions somewhere on how to submit to sitemaps to all the major search engines? I know how to do it through Google Analytics, but I'm lost with the rest. Thank you for any suggestions.

Hello,

it helps to put a  link to html sitemap somewhere on your site.
