Hello,
The new feature which is labeled: Additional "Starting URLs" would be amazing!  However, no matter what I enter in the textarea, when I press "Save", the box is made blank again (setting does not get saved).

Any chance this will get fixed?

Thanks!

Hi,

I did recognised your experience: sure the permission of your .conf file is 0666 (writable)?

Hi,

0644 (rw-r--r--) ...?
You tried 0666 (rw-rw-rw-)

Hi schipper,
It's not a permissions issue.  The apache process is running as the file owner, and permissions are 644.

I can save ALL OTHER SETTINGS, just not the new "Additional Starting URLs" (it remains blank after pressing "save" no matter what you put in it).

Just for proof, I tested to confirm with both 0666 and 0777.  Same behavior.  Not a permissions issue; looks like a bug in the script itself (does it save for _you_?).

Hi,

You are right. Same experience: you do not see what you did save.

But downloading by ftp the .conf file showed me that the last option <option name="xs_moreurls"></option> DID change with the saved url...!

You could check as well

So indeed kind of a bug, but perhaps (?) working...

This is all what I can do, better contact Oleg!

Best regards

No, it is not working at all (eg., it does not crawl any other site), even if I manually add it to the conf file.

How do you contact Oleg?  Does Oleg check the forum to see this?

Thanks.

Please try to re-download generator package, it should work now. Note that additional starting URLs can be from the same domain only.

Okay thanks Oleg, but big question... why same domain only?

We host ALL of our static content on a CDN, on a different domain.  So what you're telling me is that we can only include local (dynamic) content in our sitemap (eg., all the html files that are hosted on the CDN are excluded from our sitemap).  That's a BIG problem for us (well, at least now that you've teased us with the ability to index other starting urls)  :)

Thanks.

Yes normally he does. Sometimes it takes some days.
But he will be busy now with the new release.

You can send also a personal message to XML-Sitemaps Support / Oleg

I see you got allready an answer now!!

You can use "Allow including images from these domains" setting for images hosted on external cdn domain.
