email notification not working. Options?

Hi there,

Wondering if there is a work around to this - as i want to be able to get email notifcations of sitemaps being generated when i manually do them or when a cron job does.

Problem is my host provider has disabled PHP mailing - they do not for some kind of security reason allow php mail templates or anything.

I am not even allowed to have a contact forum that uses php.

Is there a way around this so this error code gets avoided?

my host has said they have disabled php mail and will not restore it due to security issues with spam.
they told me i can use smtp mail notifcation. Is this possible? To edit code to allow this?

sitemap generator script supports only built-in PHP mail() function.

In case if receiving email notification is "a must" - yes, you can use PRO Online service for that.
