Edit site map

I am trying to edit the site map file. Could someone please advise me how this is done? It took me 12 hours to create the new site map, and I don't have 12 more hours when editing a couple of lines will accomplish what I need to do. Someone please help. Thanks.

you can download sitemap file from your server via ftp to local computer, edit them in text editor if needed and reupload back.
