strange order of folders on HTML sitemap after upgrade to new version

I have been a satisfied user for almost 5 years, and I never bothered to update until today.  When I updated, the new HTML sitemap now lists the folders on my site in some kind of random order.  I can change the order which pages in a given folder are listed by using the menu under miscellaneous settings, but the folders are still listed in random order.  Is there a setting that controls the order of folders.

currently it only sorts pages alphabetically (not folders). We will include folders sorting in the upcoming generator update.
